Worship services are held on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the church at 160 La Salle Road in Emerald Bay. If you are not an Emerald Bay resident and want to worship with us, stop at the guard gate for a vehicle sticker.
You may want to arrive about 10 minutes before the service time so that you can get oriented. Our ushers will be happy to assist you.
What is the service like?
Our worship services typically last about one hour. There are times to stand and sing and times to sit to listen and pray. You will get a printed bulletin with the order of service as you enter the church and you will find hymnals and Bibles in the pews near you.
What do I do during Communion?
Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper, is offered the first Sunday of every month. All baptized Christians are welcome to partake. Prayers are said and ushers bring trays of bread and little cups of grape juice to you in the pew; you do not need to leave your seats. If you prefer not to partake, simply pass the tray to the person seated next to you. It is our custom for everyone to wait until all have been served before consuming the bread and the juice.
What do people wear?
You will find a wide variety of dress on Sunday mornings – from slacks and shirts to suits and dresses.
What happens after the service?
Please join us in the Fellowship Hall for some refreshments and a chance for us to meet and welcome you.
Where do my children go?
We encourage older children to join their family for the worship service. Nursery care is provided for children aged four and younger.
